A 24-year-old Lewiston man was headed straight to prison Monday afternoon for raping a woman, but 1st District Court Judge Kevin Allen changed his mind after a private discussion with attorneys and a few words from the victim.
Election Day is coming Tuesday. Mail-in ballots can still be dropped off in person at the Cache County Clerk’s Office at 179 N. Main St. All other drop-off locations are now closed, and it is too late to send ballots by mail.
